Hey all,

I've just bashed this out for my AU (well, micronation actually), and I'm not entirely happy with it and would enjoy some input, if you would be so good.

It performs the same role as the Su-27, and possesses the same engine and a similar airframe to that bird. The difference is in the avionics, which are all (RWR, the AESA radar etc) swiped from the F-35 Lightning II, and in it's possession of interior weapons bays.

What I am worried about is the rear of the craft - for some reason the tailplanes and wings just don't seem...right. But I'm rather pleased with the cockpit, nose and engine intake.

I'll credit it all when it's done and dusted.

You need to put it in the template and get credit to those whose planes you've used. Like mine & Alvama's X-02:

Yeah as I said - I've got a huge paint page full of all the stuff I've used (it's a real mess), but I just slapped this on the forum because I wanted a quick bit of as you go advice. Anything to suggest?

The road of bump end with ban ... we don't bump here lad. ;)

If your plane possesses similar airframe to Su-27, where you put that weapon bay ?

I'm pretty sure there has been mention of skinning the "tunnel" on the flanker and using it for internal weapons carriage so there could do... You could also bulge out the nacelles and put SRAAMs in there I guess. I must say though it looks really oddly proportioned, too small imho (at least from the intakes back).

Like some poor cousin of Flanker. Also I think tail sting should be longer.

Tail surfaces are much too small (look at the actual Su-27 family) The nose plug between the radome cockpit looks somewhat excessive and the cockpit is going to have pretty poor rearward visibility. Other than that so far it seems a lot better. You might want to bring your rear fuselage back a bit too to provide a screen against the nozzles because right now they are a huge ir signature in all directions.
