I don't know if this counts, so:
Artillery lighter Falke, part of the Euphrat River Flotilla during WW1. A lighter with a mounted 105mm gun taken from the cruiser Breslau, she supported the German/Turkish troops along the Euphrat. After ammunition was used up, she was scuttled.

Crazy but fantastic. If anyone had ever dreamt up such a ship for an AU they would have been laughed off the board. As ever, truth is stranger than fiction!

Lenght 10m, beam 3m, draught 0,5m, if that is any indication for stability . It's clear that this is a wartime improvisation and most likely would have never happened in peacetime. That said, information about that is very scarce without any mention of stability issues...
