Looks good Rowdy, but... you may need to measure the beam useage with 4", crane, boat, hangar, boat, crane, 4". Might be possible to put the boats on the roof of the hangar.

Good point, I'd actually meant to fix that but apparently I forgot. Would putting the boats on top of the hangar affect top weight much?

Maybe put them hanging on the sides at the stern deck, below the float planes at the stern ?

Would it be worth moving the cats and crane backwards as well to make a bigger hangar (and or making it full width by moving 4' guns forward or rearward ?)

Looking even better now.

I'd say putting the boats on top would be ok, then its a case of squeezing in the crane to a position so it can reach them and clear the 4in guns. That's going to be tricky. Maybe somewhere between the pom-pom and the 4in?
I think a bigger hangar is only going to make topweight a more serious issue.

Very nice and interesting concept. :)
I think the hangar should be sturdy enough to hold the boat on top.

Looks good, but you might want to consider removing the torpedo tubes.
A valuable vessel like this shouldn't be taken up close with enemy vessels, especially at night to be able to launch her torpedoes (torpedoes were in fact close range weapons)

Is it much more valuable than any other CL/CA with TTs ? All RN (and allies, this is clearly RN derived) had TTs on CL/CAs would this not get them ? and ship do get forced to go where they should maybe not sometimes.

Yes, I think that solution looks good.

I would remove the torpedoes too, I don't think she would get the opportunity to use them and as a commerce protector/ raider the 6in battery will be would be more useful. Of course a spread of torpedoes at an attacker might deter them long enough to scatter a convoy but the cruiser would probably have to sacrifice herself. With all that aviation fuel etc. aft you're asking for trouble getting too close in a torpedo attack.

Would it also be possible to swap the 4' singles for twins for the 39 version ?
