One more thing that comes to mind, all L60 mounts were clip fed and as far as I'm aware none of the mountings were enclosed, so they aren't NBC resistant which might be a problem if the Cold War ever turned hot.

Nice! I like the long flight deck, it makes it easier for pilots to land in those heavy Atlantic Seas.

If I'm not totally wrong Norwegian Navy should have 40mm L/60 clips in stockpiles somewhere, since they mainly use them on the old PT boats. If they have already removed them.

In his time period of that ship... hm. it's possible that Nammo have an open production line on the 40mm since a couple of Coast Guard ships, and all PT boats use them, and Oslo class started to use them to, specially when the aft 3"/50 was replaced with an 40mm (if that gun only used the L/70). But the L/60 should be in production in his time period since, Norwegian PT boats used them a lot and fired there gun so often that it was almost like they was firing ammunition for free!

Other than that I'm not entirely sure, but an CNC machine need only 15-30 minutes to change from one product to an another. and everything is order based, that means that they produce an series of X number of one part at the time. So to trow in a second order, should be to difficult. ans as Thiel say Nammo would probably be happy to do it. For at Nammo, money are "MONEY"
