Not to mention the fact that there's just not enough room in that tiny little rifle for a functioning action.

As has been suggested a million times, get the proportions from all the real life bolt actions drawn in this scale.

Also, while its not as big of a factor as the above mentioned, I really don't think clear mags on the second rifle are worth the reliability issues they come with in that time. While I know the Chauchats problems weren't exclusive to the clear mags, IIRC they were a part of it and they offer little advantage with such a small amount of bullets compared to the risk of dirt and grime getting stuck in the magazine and jamming the rifle

And the Lebel M-1886 had a 20inch spike bayonet.
I think what I have done should now fix that problem.

Small, thin, lightweight for its length. And four inches is a huge difference. But whatever.

About the longest I've ever seen is a 19" bayonet for an SMLE... and that's not exactly that useful for combat. There's a reason the 8-10" bayonets were adopted later on.

The Saint Barbara Armaments SB556 is an assault rifle patterned after the AR-15 design. It uses a gas piston action based on the action used by the Taiwanese T65/T86/T91 family of rifles. The SB556 features a continuous upper receiver that is a rigid platform that allows mounting of accessories without affecting the barrel harmonics. A MIL-STD-1913 rail is provided at the 12 o'clock position and KeyMod slots are provided at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions. KeyMod allows MIL-STD-1913 rail segments to be placed where the user wants them. The lower receiver features ambidextrous controls. The SB556 is equipped with a FAB Defense GLR-16 buttstock and AG-43 pistol grip.

Versions of the SB556 include a "commando" version with a 292 mm barrel, an infantry automatic rifle with a 508 mm barrel, a personal defense weapon with a 190.5 mm barrel and also a 7.62 x 51 mm spin-off design, the SB762.
