I know Kilomuse already posted a V-507, but I did my own version based off the available drawings and LTV's full-scale mockup photos. Mine are different, but only because I wanted them for the RTX AU when the time comes.

The V-507, clean:


With a maximum intercept loadout of 6X AIM-54 Phoenix missiles:


With a long-range intercept loadout of 4X AIM-54 Phoenix missiles and external fuel tank:


With a patrol-intercept loadout of 2X AIM-54 Phoenix, 4X AIM-7 Sparrow and 2X AIM-9 Sidewinder:


With a long-range patrol loadout of 4X AIM-7 Sparrow, 2X AIM-9 Sidewinder, and external fuel tank:


And finally, a maximum patrol loadout of 6X AIM-7 Sparrow and 4X AIM-9 Sidewinder:


The loadouts are separate paint.net layers, which made it easy to change configurations without any changes to the base drawing, just the individual layers.

Thanks to Kilomuse for inspiration and some free time to maintain my sanity while in Afghanistan.

Excellent work, Redhorse, and nice to see the different payload options of the V-507. She's a great looking aircraft and you've certainly done her justice.
I hope your time in Afghanistan went alright, I had a friend serving out there recently too, you do a great job and not one I'm sure I could do.

After designing the E-50 with the gearbox mounted forward as in the Panther and Panther II the designers wanted a gearbox in the rear. This necessitated the redesigning of the rear.

The story of this aircraft could be a hoax after all and it may never existed beyond some aeronautical corporation's bussiness plot during the 60s, however, as it's not entirely confirmed that this airplane was not at least in the head of Roberto Longhi (it's designer) by 1943, i think that it's safe to leave it here, under the category of never built.
