An iconic ship, a small one as far as size, but its importance is far greater.

Known to its crew as Fleigauf=explode, the SS Gluckauf=good luck of 1886 was the firs ocean going tanker with an engine, but was not so lucky as her name suggests, being wrecked in 1893
Brilliant, another iconic ship and a great drawing :)

Navarchos, I love the work you are doing with representing the older Greek ferries (and their original appearance! :) ).
The ARIADNE was always a firm favorite of mine! Will you draw her as the OURANOS as well? (and as the F.DIAMOND, just joking).

P.S. it seems that the TOR Line logo was placed on the dummy funnel rather than on the real funnels. check these images from the early 70s:

Thanks a lot mate...it's on my plan to draw her as Ouranos & F-Diamond...but currently i am working on Japanese Nishiki Maru...or better known in Europe as Daedalus of Minoan lines (also  )

Haven't posted anything in about a year or so, so I might be a bit rusty. Nomadic was one of the tenders for the White Star Line at Cherbourg, France, ferrying passengers from shore out to waiting liners. She was designed specifically to work with the Olympic class liners, but continued to serve White Star and later Cunard ships up until the 1960's. She's now undergoing restoration at Harland & Wolff in Belfast.
