Why not just go for two Mark 26 Mod 2 launchers? Granted, you'll carry fewer missiles (128 instead of 160) and you'll fire them somewhat slower (24 shots per minute instead of 30), but those missiles can quite a bit larger (2200lb instead of 1500lb, 14.75” x 200” instead of 13.5” x 186.45”) and it'll simplify the layout tremendously.

Thanks Thiel I think I will push the building year a couple of year forward, so I an use the Mark 26 mod 2. I had a bit thinking and decided that instead go my own way a should be a bit inspirited of California but do it a bit different!

So the Mark 23 are going to be replaced by Mark 26 Mod 2

This is how I am thinking now, all thing on-board is just wild guesting!

you might want to go for SPG-51 instead of STIR's (which are SPG-51 with SPG-60 upperworks, anyways) and I would suggest a bit more space for strengthening around the aft MK13, so I have doubt that helicopter would fit over there, especially considering that I would suggest an double hulled ship.

So it looks like Reactor Compartments back to back under the Harpoon launchers. That'll work. On the USN CGN's #2 Reactor was midships like that.

That will change a bit. note that Thiel mention for me that I should use Mark 26 so I am going for that. but what about mark 13 aft and mark 26 forward.

You can, but I can't see why you would. You'd need two different sets of spare parts, different training and if I'm not mistaken the Mk 26 could fire a longer ranged version of the Standard.

It can't.

It can however fire ASROC. There were also a few Ramjet proposals in the 80s that would have fit in the Mk 26.

BTW. Does the find any information about that the MK-26 could be enlarged, or is the Mod 2 the limit?
