I've been on a 1960s Cold War theme lately. Currently reading 'The Bedford Incident' by Mark Rascovich. Before that I read 'October Fury' by Peter Huchthausen and 'DEFCON-2' by Norman Polmar and John Gresham.

Cruiser by Mike Carlton is a great book about HMAS Perth. A great read for any Aussie Naval enthusiast. Another great read if you like strategy is the WW2 Maritime section of the Evolution of Strategy by Heuser.

I just finished reading Hornfischer's book on the USS Houston (Ship of Ghosts), HMAS Perth is mentioned in detail, but I might have to order the Mike Carlton book.

The Illustrated Directory of Warships, from 1860 to the present day by David Miller is also a very interesting one, well, at least that's my opinion.
Both are very informative and I love the style and the language, not too complicated
