I prefer the original planned airwing from 1951
and this airwing includes the Banshees and the Cutlass.
F-4 Phantoms? 1951? FH Phantoms, ok but not the F-4
and of course not the A-5, more the A-3 and they're coming later too.

FWIW. I think a three-antenna installation is almost a certainty, with one of the three cantilevered off of the stern and off to one side.

I know the fact of the three devices of the AN/SPS-22 system for the Forrestal-Class as a flushdeck carrier design.
But there's another fact: The United States have guns on the aft, the Forrestal flushdeck design have no guns there.
Where should I find enough space there?? Two 3" L/70 and the AN/SPN-12 CCA device + one time AN-SPS-6C with
his radome!! OK, I try to find a solution for this problem, but, please give me time therefor.

Update info:

I have reworked the horizontal stacks/funnels.
All gun platforms are fitted with railings.
All restractable devices are fitted with railings too.
I have filled the free bow section. Not complete but I think it's ok now.
Have filled the free space on the aft port side (have looked very naked there).

Both deck plans are ready with this fitting. Am working on the starboard and port side.
Think it's done tomorrow 'Cause it's pretty late here and in four hours my cab is coming

Excellent progress. I'm surprised we've never had the United States done before now.

There's a problem:
The reference drawing includes the 3" L/50 guns, so there was enough space
for the aft elevator to go up and down.
But now the elevator crashs on the roofs of the guns when he's going down,
'Cause the 3" L/70 guns are bigger!! So what can I do??
1st: I canot changed the length of the hull in the waterline,
2nd: I cannot changed the length of the flight deck &
3rd: I cannot changed the width of the aft elevator.
I have thought about it and I think I have a solution.
The German word therefor is "Schwalbennest".
I don't know the correct word in English. "Crows nest" or "swallows nest"??
Take a look at the Essex-Class and I think you know what I mean.
So I have to set miles of red lines and to have copy all the starboard views, port views and deck plans.
I hate it!!

"Crow's nest" - ok.
I'm ready with the starboard and port side.
Am working on the deck plans now and then I have to do the copy work.
