I suggest holding two or three challenges at the same time. Some participants have to wait a month for an interesting challenge. Someone wants ships, planes, land vehicles.

Given the success of the Ironclad menace challenge I'd like to promote the format so its taken up once again, and came up with an idea:

The year is 1951(ish) and intelligence reports that PERFIDIOUS ENEMY SUPERPOWER has developed very fast submarines based on !TYPE XXI technology which they probably intend to use to go after your CONVOYS or CARRIERS. You must develop a naval unit that can FIND AND SHADOW them in peacetime and DESTROY them during wartime.

This is obviously geared towards SSKs, key to it being the ability to find and shadow during peacetime, in which surface and air units cannot cross into the rival's territorial waters with impunity. But hey, let people get creative right.

SB Scale:

Nuclear surface ship challenge. There has been some discussion on the Discord about this idea, with various different limitations to the challenge proposed, since it is rather open ended and could result in anything from icebreakers to supercarriers. Personally, i like this open-endedness, however i see the appeal in trying to impose some harder limits. Suggestions included:

- Finding a role that a nuclear fueled ship could conduct more efficiently than a conventionally fueled vessel, a "raison d'être", so to speak.
- Giving Shipbucketers a pre-built reactor to construct a vessel around.
- Designing a "smallest viable product" nuclear powered vessel.

I don't want to singlehandedly decide which one of these deserves to be ultimately proposed to the challenge staff, so i'll just propose them all.

I'll repeat myself. Unusual hull forms warships. Everything goes except monohulled warships.

What about catamaran and trimaran type ships? Say dating back as far as the 19th century. I mean Robert Fulton designed a catamaran floating battery before the War of 1812, to defend New York harbor.which was built.
Not bad either.

Maybe just a general "unusual hull forms" warship challenge? SWATH, catamaran, trimaran, pentamaran, hydrofoil, hovercraft, etc. as long as the hydrodynamic lift does not rely one one single hull?

It would allow people to go nuts :D

First Generation jet airliner.

Think 707, dc-8, cb880, commet,C102, Caravelle, etc
I believe they trended all as narrow bodies and mostly quads around that time

I for once wanted a Soldier Bucket scale challenge, one in which everyone is free to create an MBT for their respective AU.
Something like from the 60's to the 2030's.

I feel like this one would get an interesting response since people could draw their already existing designs in greater detail or just take the opportunity to make some really creative things, assuming that this gets the same response as other Soldier Bucket scale challenges.
