Intresting idea and premesis. Would the what-if polish aircraft been powered by the Vipers also? How plausible would have been the availability of British engines for Poland, or would it had needed other engine solutions?

Well, tradition is tradition...
Least surprising thing in the world, isn't it? :roll:

@Gollevainen
Hard to tell about the engines. Since in the real-world the matter didn't progressed beyond "-Would you like?... -Nah...", it's not even something that can be a subject of an "educated guess". Maybe if actually progressed, then the final product would resemble more TS-16 rather than J-22/IAR-93 as we know it? I just kept it simple and straightforward. Though it can be noted, that prototype of TS-11 Iskra was powered by Viper.

I really like the idea of the Polish Oraro variant, something that could have been a very useful platform for them to replace the older MiGs and some of the Su-22 perhaps.
Engines might have been a sticking point, but perhaps not insurmountable for Poland to get a licence for the Viper.
