Hi all

I have reworked the f2000 again:
-SeaWolf as a point defence missile (will be replaced in 2015, see pic)
-reduced the ammount of vls cells to 16 (think that is enough)
-replaced the 40mm aa with a RAM-launcher
-added fire control radar for the aa missiles

frigate f2000

-build in 2009/2011
-2 ships in class



The ship can be used for patrol and anti pirat missions...

thank you for the feedback, I'm glad that you like the ships...

first I want to present you a new design:
MRTV C50



The ships is mainly used for training purposes of boarding teams and
combat divers. But it can fulfill task of an normal supply ship too.

Also I started a collection of AU prodused missiles:



I reworked the f2000 again with the new missiles, see my last post for the new pic

The vessel is shown in a unarmed variant.
It's made for ofshore patrol missions and also for laying and clearing mines.

that's not that bad looking! she does however look a bit squashed down, as if the bridge would look better one deck higher and the freeboard aft seems very low.
a few things come to mind as well:
- the fire extuingisher on top of the bridge....... you do realise this means there is a big water pipe with a pump underneath it running trough your bridge? this gives vibrations and discomfort.
- I have doubt about the widest point of the hull being that far aft (as shown by your shading)
- the transom goes a bit deep, I would think it would a bit higher in the water there. on the other hand, your stern is suddenly very boxy and straigth after the extreme curve just next to the propeller shaft, you might want to flare that a bit better.
- the crane looks a bit on the small side for the size of the ship

Good work, Skyder! (Actually,I think, you could place a fire extinguisher where you wanted; you can always encase those pipes...of course depends what is flow and capasity )
But do you have enough room for mine laying? I mean you'll need at least 2,2-2,5 meters "free"(+HVAC installations) to be able to lay mines and above you'd need free space to clearing equipment; not helodeck.
But again, this is interesting concept and very well drawn!
I'am from a country, where mine laying and clearing are top priorities for Navy; so, carry on!

Here to, bu never practices with it... But here in Norway we have rails that are designed to fit inside ferry's.
