Sorry for double post through I would have a go (really just a colouring in with a very long credit line  ),

Any ship will really do the job so my reasoning was that it would be built in northern Europe to balance cost (since its deployed south).

I am a bit wondering, why not fit it's mast? the mast drawn here was the holland class in 2011, when it was not yet fitted with it's mast :P it was never meant to stay that way.

btw, where does Progress's name come from? as far as I know, I was the last to work on thid drawing and apart from a bit of paintjob I see nothing different from when I did?

I was thinking cost wise why fit it ? if you are just going after pirates and refugees ? (should I fit something else cheaper ?)

As to Progress's just felt I should as I ripped off his paint job/flag :o .

fitting something cheaper is very possible, but without the 16 ton (IIRC) mast on top you get an very different ship. note you have no camera lookout, no fire control, no air search radar, helicopter control radar, comms etc. without the mast, so you have to find alternatives for that...........
note that the I-mast is a platform on which different radars and systems can be fitted as needed, so it might be better to keep the mast but put cheaper radars on board.

as for the crediting, it is up to you but I personally see no actual parts of the ship copy-pasted, just some lettering or a colour scheme (flags count as parts IIRC) so while it is worthwile mentioning, IMO crediting it might go too far (especially as you had just as much a job to adapt the paintjob to this new ship.

well that depends on your requirements. I could think the air search radar might be too much, so an smaller phased array radar would make sense (for example one from the smaller I-mast sets) but other then that, I think the mast is quite suitable for this size of OPV.

Would a fitted for but not with I mast work ? ie just use navigation surface sets (do they need to be even low end phased array for policing ? ) and fitting it so it could be upgraded if needed (like the 3' gun) ?

Norway have announced they are going to send a vessel down there. It will be an Offshore stand by vessel, with capacity to carry up to 200 persons. Basically Norway are sending an Normal Supply ship, with an enlarged superstructure!
