to illustrate the changes of the east german Volksmarine uniforms during the time:

1st Line: field dress (1960s and 1970s), board dress (until 1960s), working dress (until 1970s), service dress, coat (until 1970s), walking out dress, parade dress, combat dress (until 1960s)
2nd Lind: field dress (1980s), board dress (1970s and 1980s), working dress (1980s), service dress, coat (1980s), walking out dress, parade dress, combat dress (1970s and 1980s)
Officers
1st Line: board dress (until 1960s), warm weather board dress (until 1960s), service dress (until 1960s), warm weather service dress (until 1960s), walking out dress, warm weather walking out dress, parade dress
2nd Line: board dress (1970s and 1980s), warm weather board dress (1970s and 1980s), service dress (1970s and 1980s), warm weather service dress (until 1970s and 1980s), walking out dress, warm weather walking out dress (1970s and 1980s), parade dress (the cord was introduced in the late 1970s), society uniform (introduced in the late 1970s)
a white cover was worn from may until september on the darkblue headdress, to the society uniform a cream coloured cover was worn

Pancerny (soldier of polish 17-18 century light cavalry). Pancerny usually wore mail armour and were armed with composite bows, sabers and war hammers.

Soldier of petyhoria (lithuanian medium cavalry, which was armed like pancerni but had mail armour strenghtened with scale elements and had lances, shorter than husaria's ones.

Polish cavalry 17 century. Infantry will follow soon:)
1st line: Towarzysz (companion) of hussars, towarzysz (companion) of pancerni,towarzysz of petyhoria, polish dragoon, mercenary reiter.
2st line: Pocztowy(soldier) of hussars, pocztowy of pancerni, soldier of light cavalry, mercenary dragoon, mercenary horse arquebusier.
3st line: officer of hussars, officer of pancerni, member of "pospolite ruszenie" (szlachta (noblemen) militia force which was called in the case of emergency), mercenary cavalry commander.

All are wonderful, as every image of this thread.

Images from last pages although appeared in my computer, they refused to open as saved files by my MS paint. Why?

Polish army 17th century finished at last. I also want to portray some characters from Sienkiewicz's "With Fire and Sword" book.

Also I think that it will be a good idea to do cavalry mounted. Are there any horses painted in the franscale?
