Doesn't have to be a fixed mount, the Greeks used shoulder-fired Redeyes on their old USN destroyers I think and I've seen photos of shoulder-launched Stinger trials on US ships. As long as there is a clear bit of deck space you can fire it from anywhere. Not ideal but doable.

I agree with hood here. For a vessel of this size and it probable use any MANPADS will suffice from Milan, Javilin, Startreak or any shoulder launched weapon were just a bit of open deck is required. Startreak could even possibly be mounted in an autonomous launcher atop the hanger or a derivative of Rapier if some were un obstructed for the blind fire radar can be mounted.

Minor nitpick. Milan is most certainly not a MANPADS.

However the point about free-form operation of them does indeed make good sense.

Since all manpads require two hands to operate you might want to include some sort of rest or support for the operator

In part sheets there are the Soviet SA-N-5, perhaps a similar mouth could be built for Stinger or Redeye.
