This is a personal design that has taken me three years to draw after extensive research, constant design changes, etc. Here are some of the specs for my modern UNITED STATES:

UNITED STATES 2
NEW YORK, NY
1,490 ft Lenth overall
155 ft Width overall
3,500 Passengers
1,500 Crew

this design is COPYRIGHTED and cannot be used without my written permission. It is currently being made into a 3d model using Rhino 3d software, and next year, using 3d printing, a 1/350 scale model (51" in length) will be made for remote control :)

Please upload it to a suitable image host. Regarding copyright ALL Shipbucket drawings are copyrighted and available for use under the Fair Use Agreement.

Well, it can, but it would take a bit of setting up and is a really, really bad idea.

Well I have given it a go to attempt to upload it via other means but the drawing will not upload :/ any suggestions?

Until such time, you can follow this link to my DeviantArt page to see what the ship, my personal design, UNITED STATES 2 looks like.

Any feedback would be appreciated. I am by no means certified in naval architecture of any kind, but it took three years of research and design to reach my final result.

here's the link:

You need to be able to use the image host (imgur works, as does googlesites) and then get a URL for the uploaded image (Shipbucket does not support direct uploads at this time)

For example, Based on the image you've linked to on dA, you would do this:

Resulting in:

Now, this is obviously not in shipbucket scale, and I would like to know if it was done in shipbucket scale? If it was, then you need to fiddle around with the settings for people to download your work on dA so that you can get the direct link to the full size file (I'd also strongly suggest you put it on template). If not, then this thread is actually in the wrong place and should be moved to the Non-Shipbucket Drawings section of the message board.

Edit: After closer inspection, you've used Shipbucket parts, which puts you subject to the Shipbucket Fair Use Agreement, which stipulates templates and crediting rules. Also, watermarks are frowned upon.

Sincerely,

TimothyC

Mike,
For comparaison with your newer SS United States.
A REAL project, a newer FRANCE medium liner, 240 meters

I do kind of get the funnels thing but it does look a little like somebody just grafted a couple of apartment blocks onto a hull ... I just don't think it looks as classy as the other France.
