The SP on this ship will have a huge cutout forward (because of the fire control tower). I'm also not sure the aft stack support would be able to hold that much weight - you might investigate strengthening it.

The uneven distribution of the 5" mounts is also worrisome. I've never seen any USN designs that had 5" mounts spread that unevenly - it just looks strange. You have plenty of space for more mounts (or just to redistribute the existing ones).

I'm sorry but you have taken something that I love very dearly and reduced it to nonsense. This is of course your right, but I can't honestly comment here without saying it...

And really, I am not trying to be rude or shoot down your thread. I think the backstories are interesting (minus my usual complaints about museum ships, but that's up to you ), I just have spent a lot of time researching USN fleet units to the point where inaccuracies jump out at me... call me Colosseummike if you must.

Well, in his defense, the one area he has gotten right is the aft airplane catapult section. That's exactly how I had planned to do it for the later Alaska refits I was going to make. The only suggestion I would have would be to move the aft most Mk.51 tubs all the way aft so they sit right next to their 40mm tubs.

Ah, okay. Just didn't see any credits or whatnot, so was wondering.

No, when I did those drawings back in the 00's I didn't think to put credits on them. They're all over the web now. Heck, if you look at the upgraded Amagi in World of Warships, its almost identical to my drawing save for the shape of the bow.

I'm pretty sure WoWS Amagi has nothing to do with that drawing, since I am one of those who help out WG on WoWS (as well as WoT, for which I basically made the Japanese tree).

That being said, nice ideas on your site.
