a few comments on your hull.
- above the outward propeller strut, your dark hull shading and light hull shading touch each other. that would suggest there is, at that position, a very fast transition from 45 degrees up to 45 degrees down. I find that unlikely
- the propeller struts are both on the same line of the shading. that seems to suggest these struts are behind each other (it even shows like the inner propeller has an more outward strut) which I doubt is the case.
- your coolwater inlets are drawn in 2 different styles. (black outlines and dark 'red' outlines) I would think one of these should be chosen. your coolwater inlets in the magazines seem also very big compared to those near the boiler rooms and turbines. also, is your forward turbine room forward of the boiler rooms? because looking at how your coolwater inlets are spread, it appears to be so.
- you might want to look into transitioning the shading onto the above the water hull, as it ends very abrubtly aft on the waterline.

Hi Karle,

Another query - are you planning on modelling the same difficulty the USN had with moisture in the radar waveguides affecting the radar placement? Not sure if that's something you're that concerned with in this AU, but if you did you'd have at least two versions as the waveguide efficiency improved...

Have to admit, that never crossed my mind.

I have added shading to the stern to show the rounding. I have also lowered the propellers, the shafts and the two smaller rudders. Consequently I could rework the 45 degree angles so there is now more space between the two angles. All water inlets are now in one style (black outlining.) The propeller struts are now at different heights, and should look like they are at the side, albeit further apart. And yes, the forward turbines are at the front of the forward boiler room, so as to make better arrangements for the magazines for the secondaries. Whether that makes sense I don`t know. The inlets near the magazines are bigger/more numerous to allow more water to flood the magazines to prevent magazine detonation. A big fire could quickly boil the cordite and blow the ship asmitherines. The ship is built with numerous redundencies to keep it afloat for as long as possible, even if only half the ship exists, figuretively speaking. I`ve been thinking of names for her sister ships, so far I have this: Vindicatio (Revenge) Indignatio (Wrath) Exterminatore (Destroyer) Imperii Romani (Roman Empire)

Hi Karle,

You could always go with "Ultima Ratio Imperia" (or "...Caesar"), in the style of Louis XIV's "Ultima Ratio Regum".

Vindicatio underwent a refit in Espania in August 1942. The changes are as follow:

- The foremast was rebuilt to accamodate a larger platform for the new experimental air search radar.
- Five new quad 40mm guns were added to the following places; the bow, sides of the fore funnel (replacing the two boats there and two at the stern.)
- Eight new 20mm guns were added to the bow and the stern.
- Communications were bolstered with 13 new radio antennae on the fore superstructure and the two funnels.
- The ship was painted in an all blue paint scheme to see whether it be effective as a shipborne cammouflage.

I have been thinking abort that. The 4 vindicatios will serve until the mid 90s - early 2000s.
