- My personal feeling is that your ship is maybe too big (280 meters, 12 x 380 or 406mm, likely around 55 000 to 70 000 tons)
a slitghly smaller ship can (250-260 meters, triple-turrets, 45 000-50 000 ton) would be better.
- You need to lowered the superstructure, your design look to have some top-wieght issues.
- Do not forget that quadruple-turrets have some "dispersion problems", the triples mountings are better...

Thanks Colombamike. many good ideas... I have to do some work on here.

for the propulsion. I have gone for a twin keel solution, and four propellers, I need to do some editing so it looks more like an twin keel.

When I started drawing this, it was when I saw those quad gun BB French concepts, with turrets both aft and forward... and I just oh awesome. I need to draw something in that direction.

I also notice I have to do an bow adjustment on the top-view for give the bow a more Vanguard feel.

I had also the feeling the superstructure was a bit.. fatty, my idea was to edit the block deck for deck and see what I get!!

Hi Heuhen,

A quick question - wouldn't the aft 5" mounts have the same circular indentation in the structure as that present on the midships 5" mount?

Regards,
Adam

ok. :D 8-)

I have added an second top-view with Iowa triple 16" guns just to compare.

oh don't mind the superstructure, I am trying to find an sleek look for it, and I have to add an second bridge. I think I will go for a bit German style on the bridge, but with personal twist... but first, bed!

oh the aft superstructure have the basic shape of how it will be, minus all overhangs, cutout, etc.

I am not totally happy with the superstructure, but I have now an basic shape. I can cut and pace different parts from other ships, but it have to be good.

The ship is an class of two ships, the sister ship I haven't drawn yet. Will be fun when I do an war version of this ship!

Armament vise:
- 3 X quad 15" (Here sister ship will have triple 16" guns)
- 34 x single 40mm (sister ships are using a bland of twins and quads)
- 30 X single 20mm (sister ship use twins)

I am wondering if I can just add this superstructure on here, and just add an second funnel to the design..

I like it. One thing I'd like recommend is to attach the fore funnel to the superstructure/mast (like on the Iowa's.)
