The following submission is a complete redraw of the Martin P5M Marlin Flying Boat that i've done for my Falkland Islands AU. I did this because the original Iteration of this aircraft floating around on Shipbucket is full of pixel errors and slightly out of scale. As i was motivated by my AU the aircraft is represented as such, & i have included USCG and Peacetime USN versions as well.

Original effort (NOW SUPERSEDED)

Redraw from more accurate source image

EDIT: Superseded by Complete redraw of my original submission as a found a better source image to work from which produced a more accurate end result.

Cheers

Hi Again;

As with the previous Martin P5M Marlin, I've redrawn (from scratch) the Shinmaywa US-1 Flying Boat for the purposes of My Falkland Islands AU.

Re-colour as required for your purposes.

EDIT: Added additional DCFI colour scheme + 2x Japanese Navy/Air Force Colour Schemes

Cheers

Nice work Oberon. Any chance we're going to see the US-2?

At that scale there won't be many notable differences TimothyC, but I'm sure i can whip up something when i get the chance.

EDIT: I've revies as much source data as i can find and there's negligable differences between a US-1 and a US-2, especially at Shipbucket/Planebucket scale. Please see original US-1 post for additional colour schemes.

@Oberon, your US-1 is awsome. Especially the one with the original Japanese livery.

Oberon:

There were a few places where your drawings were a bit over-shaded. I've taken the liberty of applying my own brand of 5-color paint scheme for easy recolor:

Another day, another redraw from scratch. This time it's the Northrop P-61 Black Widow Night fighter.

Enjoy.

While I was watching Pacific Rim recently, I was amused about that MH-53 look alike built araund a CH-3.
So a little "just-for-fun" happened.

Not ment to acctually represent the movi mock-up.
