Just a design I found while looking for something else, the shared ancestry between it and my earlier corvette were obvious, so I decided to do this up with the same weapon and sensor layout as my modified Ragam Class. The chief difference was the addition of a 32-cell VLS, which I tried several options for, and the present one seemed the least of possible evils to accommodate.

Looks okay to me. I suspect the VLS might cause some issues but they can be probably be worked around. I don't get why the aft end of the hangar slopes so much though. It readuces the internal volume of the hangar significantly and it'll make the hangar door a pain in the neck to operate and maintain.
You have an abundance of liferafts, but they're all very far from the crew. I'd move a couple of them forwards. It looks like there's room on the bridgewings and on the RAM deck. If you move the raft between the gangway and the torpedo tubes up a level and shuffle the gangway aft you should be able to free up enough room for a couple of boats as well.

Btw, has anyone ever checked the dimensions on that 27mm gun?

the 27mm gun is very likely too big, as is the oto melara 25/30mm gun of about the same size (I have checked that one and gave up on redrawing it)

Looks good! I'll get that 27mm mounted here in a bit! My main concern with the VLS was topweight. I explored various solutions such as building an above decks housing for it, but that seemed likely to be too heavy, or another idea was use the original structure that was up there (where the main search radar was located) to accommodate it, but I calculated that only a 16 cell was probable. I'll do up a version using an above decks housing just as a demo.

With regard to the hangar, I think that was some sort of stealth feature built into the class, and that shape is common to anything derived from BAE's Frigate 2000 concept.

I'd very seriously ask myself how much I cared about trying to fit Standard or VL ASROC. You've got pretty minimal sensors to support either, and if you're ESSM-only, suddenly you're talking about a dramatically smaller and lighter installation. Even 16 cells of SSDS-length Mk 41 is more than enough.

I have asked myself that question. Mostly, it was trying to add more capability than the corvette, because without all the extras, it offered nothing little over the smaller design except for the helo, and perhaps more range. (All at the cost of a larger crew)

This is an alternate version with more of the VLS above decks. I couldn't stick the entire installation up there, because it would have been as tall as the funnel, so there is a bit of it extending down below.

Looking at it, it's easy to see why I didn't like that setup...

Well, I'd have the foot of the VLS right at main deck level (the horizontal dark gray line). That will be best from a structural standpoint, and will only project maybe three feet above the weather deck amidships.

Shouldn't those three smaller draining holes at the bow be filled in with gray? Considering the pedistal the 3" gun is placed on is behind them?

Good catch. They certainly should.

In line with Thiel's comment on liferafts, you have a hell of a lot too many IMHO. Those are likely 25-man rafts. I'm assuming it's the same P&S. Why in the world would you need 250 spots? Even assuming a reasonable overage for possibility of damage (I think it's 25% or one extra raft in the USN, whichever is more), that's extreme.

You might trade some for a RHIB (unless that's already present on the port side).
