Because sometimes inconsistansies are allowed to better represent the feeling of the part i question. I know I've made a three-pixel 105mm gun for the Swedish parts sheet, because it feels more like the actuall gun that way, and no one has complained about it thus far.
It's not something to make a habit of, but seems to be allowed in certain cases.

Compare the differances between Lazer_One's H45 with yours. Make note of these differances. Learn. Realize that one should never take such a project as the H45 seriously. Congratulations, presuming you've done this, you've realized there is a lot to learn. We're going to be willing to help. Once you're willing to accept our help and advice.
Oh, and please note what is written just under "Germany, H46 main turret" in the title line. Not even Ashley, the main architect of the Kreigsmarine '46 thread took such a mount seriously.
