I approve the use of "Omaha"-type Main Battery turrets as secondaries.

Can't wait to see this one finished.

So I have decided for a more Pennsylvania-ish superstructure for the Michigan. It will also include some elements of the Nevada and Oklahoma. I have already come far with the superstructure so check it out on the previous page. Should the ship have 3"/50 or 5"/25 for AA?

Well, if it's going to be commissioned in the 1927-28 range it would have a SoDak-I style superstructure. This is about the time those ships would have been commissioned - you're essentially redesigning them.

The SoDaks were 1/3 finished, when Washington was signed, they would not require another 5-6 years to be completed. This ship is being laid down when the old ships are being reconstructed, why should`t a ship built at the same time have more modern features implemented into the design? Also, keep in mind that the design for the SoDak was approved way back in 1917, although some changes were made bacause of Jutland.

I have been working on a 1914 design for a fast battleship based on the Nevada and Pennsylvania with the new larger caliber 14 inch guns that were mounted on the New Mexico and Tennessee. Top speed is 25 kts. The design is also built with a fully enclosed bridge and most of the secondaries moved up one deck.

Thanks. There were a long debate as to whether build any fast battleships and depart from the standard type. The faction against prevailed in 1914. But in 1916 the debate surfaced again, and the basic design was brought back and updated with the new innovations from the New Mexico and the Tennessee. I give you the 1916 redesign of the ship:
