This is good, solid work. I'm glad to see the F-200 get a makeover: the one currently available is less than adequate.

This ship is actually a fictional ship based on the F-100, the ship in the archive.

I would be pleased to see the level of attention placed on this drawing retroactively applied to the F-100 (pardon my confusion) in the archive.

I agree with you, the F-100 and Hobart in the archive are out of date already!

Not just out of date, but obsolete and frankly ugly. I would enjoy seeing one of the talented Shipbucket artists in this thread apply the detailing of this drawing to the old versions. Really, it should be a requirement.

tagger, how much time do you think goes in an sb drawing?

to update an ship to these standards is doable. to do all of them, doable in enough time. but people draw what they want out here, and nobody is requiring anything from anyone.

so, these drawings will be updated when somebody feels like to do it.
the drawings you are pointing at were made years ago, and are somewhat obsolete. but the people that made them put work into them and did their best. unless you can show your own work to be much better over here, I would personally advice you to refrain from calling them ugly, let alone demanding them updated.

First of all, I would prefer that you refer to me by my full username, "Tagger 1-1", with a capital T. We are not close enough for you to use the diminutive of my account name.

I realize and fully understand that a lot of effort goes into a Shipbucket drawing. However, once the drawing is complete, that does not exempt the author from continually updating and refreshing it as new art is posted and the style evolves fully. This is just prudence, and truely good work will only happen when the author is dedicated to providing an updated version of his drawign whenever style changes.

well, Tagger 1-1, first of all, I am refering to you as tagger because that is easy to do. we basically all do so here, I am commonly refered to as ace. everybody in here is on friendly terms with each other, and thus I have never witnessed anybody making an problem of this shortening. but, ok, as you asked for it, I will.
Mihoshik, who did the original F100, has done about 20% of the drawings in the original shipbucket archive, of which at least a 100 are still the most recent ships drawn. it is undoable to keep all those updated. also, as that was years ago, he is a lot less active and draws next to no ships anymore. we cannot ask from him to stop doing 'real life' to keep his ships updated on an website which he doesn't get paid for. this has nothing do do with dedication.

most of the style changes and updated parts are of the last few years, and thus many of the members of the shipbucket from years ago aren't (that) active anymore.

In some moment I worked on improving the drawing. Someone could further improve the work.

it's still an personal design, right? looking good, although the guards on the praerie masker system should be on the waterline, not below the boot topping ;)

That is a very nice drawing Gunship. Do you mind if I make use of it as one of the North Point DDGs? I used the previous version of that ship and yours is much nicer.
