From now on on I will post all my FD scale inventory of the German Empire in this thread.

First the already known drawings.

Krauss-Maffei KPz 4A7 Leopard

Introduced in 1965 the Krauss-Maffei Leopard was the fourth main battle tank and the first indigenious one to be fielded by the Imperial German Army after the M4 Sherman, M47 Patton, and M48 Patton.
After several upgrades the currently deployed KPz 4A7 is the most advanced version of this successfull tank.
Allthough superseded by its younger brother, the KPz 5 Panther and his legged cousin, the KpfLf 3 Löwe, 15 of the 70 active armor battalions, and all ten National guard armor battalions are still equipped with the Leopard.
The unit shown here belongs to the 474th Armor Battalion of the 47th Naval infantry Brigade. Like alle other battalions and companies of the Brigade, the Four-Fourtyseven is based at the Adolf Heusinger Barracks outside of the small village Fasana in southern Carniola.

Steyr Lkw 2,5 t tmil Typ 2

At the beginning of the 1980s the Reichswehr decided to replace their aging 2.5 ton and 5 ton trucks. In 1984 the contract went to South-German truck manufacturer Steyr, and in 1986 the first new trucks were deliverd to the Army.
Together with Büssing and Magirus-Deutz, Steyr produced 15,000 2.5 ton, and 30,000 5 ton trucks, which by 1998 had replaced all of the older M35 an M39 based trucks.
Today the Lkw 2,5 t tmil Typ 2 is used by all branches of the Reichswehr, including the Coast Guard.

Lafayette Lkw 2,5 t tmil Typ 1

Introduced in 1952, the Lkw 2.5 ton tmil type 1 was the first medium truck to be fielded by the Reichswehr. Based on the Kaiser M35 family of cargo trucks 9,000 examples were build by Lafayette Motorenwerke, Germany's largest car manufacturer, between 1952 and 59, with additional 3,500 by Krupp Motoren- und Kraftwagenfabriken, and 2,500 by Henschel-Werke.
After three decades of service, these trucks began to be replaced by the Steyr 12M18 based Lkw 2.5 ton tmil type 2, and by 1998 all were either scrapped or sold on the civilian market.

Mercedes-Benz Lkw 0,5 t tmil Typ 2 Wolf

In 1990 the Reichswehr introduced a militarized version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon as its new standard light utility vehicle. Named Wolf, 12,000 Lkw 0.5 ton tmil were build and replaced the older 0.5 ton type 1 Iltis.
Additional 8,000 units were build with a longer 2.85 m wheelbase and fielded as Lkw 0.9 ton tmil type 1.

Steyr Lkw 2,5 t tmil Typ 2 FüFu

A number of 2.5 ton type 2 trucks have been equipped with special shelter to serve as command vehicles. These socalled Führungs- und Funkfahrzeuge (FüFu) are used with the battalion HQs of the Landser, the German light infantry.

Dornier Hkp 7F Twin Huey

Dornier built Bell 212 as used by Heeresfliegerregiment 85 of the Imperial German Army Marine Command.

Mercedes-Benz Lkw 0,9 t tmil Typ 1 Wolf


Mercedes-Benz Lkw 1,5 t tmil Typ 5

During the second half of the 1990s Mercedes-Benz built a small number of 6x6 G-Wagons for the Reichswehr to be used as service vehicles by training and evaluation units.
They were build as twin-cab pick-up trucks and shelter hauling single cab trucks. Only 241 vehicles were build as the further requirement will be met by 6x6 Rheinmetall Caracals.

Here are two additional tanks.

KPz 5A4 Panther

The KPz 4 Panther is the latest MBT introduced by the German Army. From 1979 onwards he replaced the older KPz 3 Patton tanks and recently the older models of the KPz 4 Leopard.
Early versions of the Panther are in service with several INTO nations, but the newest version 5A4 is only operated by Germany. First fielded in 1995 the 5A4 is concidered one of the most advanced MBTs in the world and the older 5A2 and 5A3 versions of the Heer are currently upgraded to 5A4.
The tank shown here is a 5A4 of the 203rd Armor Battalion of the 20th Armor Brigade and belongs to the 7th Armor Division 'Erwin Rommel'.
Named after war hero and CO of the post-war Army Office, this division is also known as 'Fist of the Realm' as it is usually the first division to sent troops for oversea missions like East Africa, the Philippines, and Iraq, and as 'Army's Playground' as it usually is the first division to field the army's new weapons. (This resembles Germany's real world 7th Division).
(The KPz 5A4 is basicly a Leopard 2 body with a Type 10 turrent. Later I will modify the turret to show an older 5A2 version)

SPz 7A1 Nashorn

At the beginning of the 21st century, the German Army started to rebuild some of their older KPz 4A7 into Infantry Fighting Vehicles to give their armored and mechanized infantry a better fire support. In 2005 the first vehicles called SPz 7A1 Nashorn were deliverd to the 193rd Armored Infantry Battalion for field tests.
As of 2007 the project is still pending its approvement for mass-production.

Why would anyone put Rommel in charge of anything remotely related to logistics and planning.
The guy was one of the worst logisticians the Wehrmacht had and that's saying something considering WWII Germany's performance in that field.

Anyone who raises Rommel on a plinth has to now what kind of man and soldier he really was.
Because contrary to common belief he wasn't a great general and his hands certainly isn't clean. That's the least we can do for the 2500 Jews and an unknown number of "undecireables" who died at the hands of the Einsatzgruppen under his authority in North Africa

Rommel was a good divisional commander, a passable Corps commander, and a deplorable Army commander...

I can just second that. During the 1940 campaign of France, he personally ordered French POW to be executed (among them lieutenant-colonel Savare of 254th Artillery Regiment).
I would rename Cascadia PzDiv with "Dietrich Von Saucken" or "Hasso Von Manteuffel".
