E-75 Hull Prototype
[ img ]

I remember reading somewhere that a Kongistiger hull was being converted as a prototype to the E-75 before it was captured incomplete in mid-1945, so here is a drawing of a representation of that.

Ok well I think thats enough of german tanks for a bit, going to complete the unfinished drawings I have...

Your German Tanks are excellent Imperialist, and I just hope your "existing" projects turn out just as well as these :)

Well done matey ;)

Heinkel He 343A

Update of the old drawing. Camo variants are WIP but I think those will be posted in AU.

EDIT: Shading fixed, hadn't realized I uploaded an earlier version of the drawing

Im not particularly fond of posting WIP's, especially for ones I'm very close to finishing; but for the following aircraft I'm in need of a few pointers:

Heinkel He 120 [WIP!]
[ img ]

1. Not quite sure how to detail the underside of the wing and horizonal tail fin
2. What color should the cross wire be (just above the pontoon)
3. How should I "detail" the uncolored section of the tail fin?

Im using this picture as a reference for detailing:

[ img ]

Heinkel He P.1079A [WIP!]
[ img ]

1. Unsure how to detail the wing shape
2. Wondering if the detailing for the air intake is appropriate

And I know the following isn't a "never-were" (in a way), but I don't wanna make a new post for this too:

Heinkel He 280 [WIP!]
[ img ]

I'll get to the other variants when I can but...
1. The bulge towards the rear of the fuselage, detailing that is a bit tricky
2. Coloring of the back of the engine housing

First, the He-120 and He-280 are pointing the wrong way (nose should be towards the right - only exception is when there's something very important on that side - and here I can't see anything that would make that exception).

Now to the point:
He-120 - Certainly the horizontal stabilizer wasn't one piece - make a black line dividing moving part and non-moving. Some panel lines on the underside of wing are visible on the reference picture, so You can try to use them. And generally try to look on FD drawings of other aircraft of the era for comparison. Cross wire should be most likely grey.

He P.1079A - Intake definitely should be outlined in black - NOT in grey. That's a very clear, sharp contour. Wing detailing - judging by the sources, there can be seen two very clear lines - one roughly at the middle of wings and one at the wingtip. So just draw them (in grey) in a shape resembling wing profile.
And on tail, the rudder is separated (by You) in two parts by black line. Make it grey line (like any other panel line) and completely level.

He-280 - I'd mark flaps/ailerons in black. I see nothing tricky in bulge under tail. First of all it should extend bit more downwards. Engine exhausts - make it in lighter color, and shade as any other cyllindrical item - lighter along the upper edge, darker along the bottom edge.
(Btw. thought about adding He-280 with extended landing gear? Sources shouldn't be a problem)

These WIPs look good. Eswube's advice is sound. Sometimes its trial and error until you get the style you want, some delta and swept wings are hard to draw in FD to make them look good, especially wings with deep roots and blended wing bodies etc.

@Eswube:
Thank you for the very detailed and extraordinarily helpful advice :) In addition I was planning to add extended landing gear to the He-280 so no worries ;)

And I believe these two are reasonably complete:

Heinkel He 120

Heinkel He P.1079

EDIT: Fixed He P.1079a
