Found an drawing on my computer, and updated it a bit, changed on some details, changed normal railings to solid railings, etc. Hull designed to reflect to have one standard and simple hull design that with just adding an section to the hull you could have propellers instead for water-jet. Although, I do like to have an flat back-end on boats like this, it would (hopefully) prevent the back end of the boat to dick to much down. Length: 74.8 meter Beam: 10-12 meter max Draft: 4.27 meter (without sonar) Displacement: from 650 to 800 tons (depending on setup) Speed: depending on engine: 30 knots and up to 55 knots+ Engine: Electric drive system powered by twin Turbine backed up by two small Diesel engine that power two water-jet. crew: 35 to 55 (depending on automation) Armament: - 1 X 56 mm gun - 1 X 76 mm gun - 8 cell short/tactical VLS (Mk-41) - 2 quad launcher for NSM - 2 triple launcher for countermeasure. - 2 12.7 mm Kongsberg Sea Protector Other: 1 RHIB |

Nice work. My only nitpick might be those NSM launchers, they seem to overhang a fair way, overlapping the edge of the sloped superstructure. Would this be possible? |

Nice work.
It's possible, but 100% ideal. but I wanted to have as big open aft deck as possible, without changing to much on the superstructure.
My only nitpick might be those NSM launchers, they seem to overhang a fair way, overlapping the edge of the sloped superstructure. Would this be possible? |

It seems a hell of a lot of capability for a hull that size. High speed and ESSM and SMART-S and SSMs and 76mm on 800 tons? |

Weight: well I took number from Visby class.Armarment: well have no idea. Original I draw it with only the 56mm. But added the 76mm at a later time, after looking at Skjold class. ESSM and SSM... was looking on what Visby was to have on armament, not fully armed as this though... Radar: SMART-S, I just like it... I could use the same radar as Skjold class and save some on the top-weight, but with my lower superstructure than the Visby thus I think I could fit the SMART-S, It is always nice to have ships like this in a big network, specially when it comes to surveillance and ... oh I forgot it again, lol. |

I suspect you're well past 1200t here. Also, 55kts and simple hull does not belong in the same sentence. |

she might be heavier, I did just an estimated number out from Visby. But around 1200-1500 tons isn't a bad estimate either, when considering there is more hull in water on this one than on Visby (I have the double depth of Visby, the original drawing had only 2.8 meter depth).Depending how you translate simple hull, for me with this drawing is a standard design planning hull, that have designed are aft that would affect it to much when changing of the stern profile for water jet or propellers. although I could use the same hull all around and take those disadvantage hit it comes with. I wrote 30 and up to 55 knots+ I should perhaps write, depending on what she carry, how much armament, things that weight here down.... but you could always do as Skjold class, push to much power trough the ship to be able to travel faster than 60 knots+ (Rumors here in Norway says that one of the Skjold class managed to surpass 67 knots some say it was close to 70 knots. that with is 16000+ hp) wonder what going to happen if you do something similar on this hull, yes I know about the planning curve and when you drive faster than what the hull is designed to handle, it will be unstable and totally... well you know. |

70m+ mill-spec planing hulls are anything but standard. Heck, they're nowhere near standard in the civilian world. |

And rumors have the US nuke carriers doing 40+ knots before some random scrub bridge crewman puts a cover over the speed readout, too... When you have a design that is staggeringly more capable than anything real of similar size, one should exercise skepticism. |

yes, but I love to try getting more in the envelope... for then realize, I've torn it at the other end!
When you have a design that is staggeringly more capable than anything real of similar size, one should exercise skepticism. |
