Well...after some veryyy long time due lack of inspiration and mostly searching for the majhost substitute I bring you guys my first ship and piece for an AU that I'm still planning. What do you guys think about it? It's so lack of inspiration to take me a while to create the name of the topic |

Hi Biancini, Looks OK, but I have a question - the secondary armament looks to be in open, shielded mounts (though roofed over) rather than casemates. Can you advise why that is? Regards, Adam |

It also lacks any AA guns (not that it doesn't have space for them so should be east to add) |

The 5.5" are also of two different types, the ones in the weapons slits are British the ones on the upper deck look like Japanese. Best to stick to one type. |

Thanks for the comments. About the secondary armament they are all british. And when I have some ideas I will make more updates with new armament and AAs... |

Hello again! Well ... I was thinking of mix designs of Japanese and British ships and came across this ^^. I still need to put some anti- aircraft weapons and make the side secundaries closed so to get a more homogeneous blend of Japanese and British ... What do you guys think about it? |

You have still not provided us with any stats on the ship, even basic ones like displacements, length, breadth, speed. We can only guess what the armament is supposed to be. You still have the problem with the two different secondary mountings. The British 5.5" guns are on the latest RN Weapons sheet and would look better than whatever those upper deck mountings are. The large mainmast is too close to the funnels. It should be turned around, moved back, and the crane part facing forward over the boats. That whole aft end from the funnels back to the X turret needs reworking. That last director should be on top of the aft armoured conning tower. The little director that is on the conning tower now, has no vision aft. The Japanese style bridge looks ok, it matches the style and age of the hull and fittings that are around it. |

Oh, just noticed. The armoured main belt extends past the forward turrets but does not cover the 'Y' turret area. The whole belt needs to move backwards to cover from the A to Y turret area. If you want to go a bit Japanese and throw a spanner in the works of the other nations in your AU - I would look at fitting the Japanese 16" off the Nagato for your main armament, that may require a reduction in speed to accommodate the extra weight. The Hood hull had the breadth to be able to take the slightly larger turrets. |
