Before I do something more on the vessel I put it up, so you boys can shoot it down!

Note this is for Caledonia AU. (and to make it little more easy I go for a little more British in equipment list, but some US equipment)

The ship:

1. Training ship
a. gunnery
b. electronic
c. missile
d. radar
e. navigation
f communication

2. Build around the coastal battleship Principe but:
a. 20 knots+-
b. large engineering with various engine's
c. some basic armor protection (only for protection from small accidents etc.)
d. lost of compartment, (should be operational even with the ship server damaged)
e. are on the reserve list
f. small boats include work boat for towing target for use in fire exercise.

3. other things:
a. two sister ship of same class as training ship.
b. an sister class of ship that are 30 meter longer that are in the fleet (5-6 ship)

basic data for now:

135 meter long

Diesel and steam propulsion. two shaft. 20 knots+-
Diesel generators and one small jet-turbine generator (for training reason)

2 X Twin or single 155mm main gun (artillery and ASuW)
4 X quad 40mm
4 X 20 mm

As reserve ship she would mainly be used as an artillery support ship.

oh both ship is different equipped, one more US electronics and weapons, the other one more RN. Reason for this is that in Caledonia Navy for some weird reason some of the ships use British equipment or modified/redesigned equipment, while other ships use more US Equipment that are redesigned and modified. the redesign and modification RN and US equipment in the Navy is to make some of the equipment talk to each other. Other ships had to equip the ships C&C with extra computers that translate what one computer say to the other... Weird Navy is Weird. (not later on there will only be US and Caledonia made equipment on these ships, due the difficulty with getting RN and US equipment to work together)

I would tend to expect a training ship to have more service and maintenance space, not less. Therefore I strongly question the Mk 11 GMLS, if nothing else.

Can I move it aft, replacing the 40mm. Or should I just drop it.

Quite a powerful vessel for a training ship, but a fine drawing nonethless. :)

Don't the equipment use a standardized protocol (CORBA) in order to communicate with each other? Using a common protocol avoids compatibility issues in electronics integration.

not always, there are some small things. but that is solved with an some sort of decoder!

And this is the up-sized version of them. these vessel is not for training vessel but are an part of the Navy. Their mission is obvious. era is most likely After WW2 start of the cold-war

they are designated as cruiser, but they are slow compared to other cruisers, with it's 25 knots+. but it's armament of 3 triple 155mm Long barrel, semi automatic main guns, is quite powerful, even with today standards. I also see for me that those guns get an upgrade in around the 70-80's to be able to fire smart ammunition.
