I am currently working on a class of Littoral Support Vessels called the "Jervis Bay Class".

Here are my first two renditions:

The specifications of this vessel are currently being compiled so I will post them at a later date.

those pontoons. I would'n have them so long, without any type support. they will break of in heavy weather due to strength issue. And if they manage to hold on, the flexing in them will increase the chance for heavy tear and wear on the hull construction. You can't reinforce it with adding heavy beams in it. because then it will be to heavy. Thea ideas behind pontoons like that is to give the hull an better wave piercing effect, for that to work this pontons have very often from non to tiny lift capability, reason: so a wave will not lift the hull up to fast but more gradually.

I could have writen that text in a better way. but my head is focused on the bed...

I agree, very nice work.Good to to see you back also... I love the details of your ships but this one... uh.. the front... I mean, it seems a bit ... how could I say...ugly.

Don't get me wrong Sir, but usually streamlined solutions works best; yet, I can assure that I don't know anything about hydrodynamics. :D

Delightful little ships. I love them.

The only thing I might change is to drive down the upper edges of your beam doors. I'm the wrong kind of engineer, but I assume the helo deck would continue forward as the upper member of the ship's box beam. It would be stiffer and stronger to leave this deck unaffected from beam to beam, and to leave a foot or so of the ship's side shell along this deck. I think the openings could probably be moved and resized while keeping their utility ultimately unaffected.

Thanks for the comments gents. I have made some changes (from both your feedback and some ideas that I had). The main changes are the higher mount for the fwd gun, different Sparrow launchers and the lowered side access hatches.

Looking very nice! Two (minor) things: don't worry about crediting me for the LCVP - I consider it a part, and this drawing should have more accurate camouflage for the helicopters, should you wish to change it.
I'm really looking forward to the New Zealand Air Warfare Frigate now :D
