I supposed to started the thread above today, but there were some problems with the images uploading to my computer, so I made changes to Miltiades.
With Mk10 GMLS, Mk29 with reloader (used also in Lysandros Class), different boats. The smaller one is of my design, the larger is from De La Penne-class.

Hey, I like how you've cleaned the Militiades up! Your motor personnel boat is actually quite nice too! The one thing that's an overkill (considering this is not a carrier!) is the provision of two additional sets of SRBOCs. Ditch the aft ones, extend the aft deckhouse to encompass the aft funnel base . Finally I'd center the SSMs amidships and remove that odd "half-size" deckhouse you've got, thus lowering the SSMs some. Also, considering possible blass effects on your aft Dardo, why not move that pair further aft; maybe swap places with the Selenia chaff/flares?

These chaff/flare launchers are not Selenia, but an indigenous multi barrel system, the CM-82 (Chaff Mortar 82mm,named from the diameter of the first tested variant in 1971). The CM-82B was 106mm, the -C and the -D 120mm. Edited after latest comments.

What about this? Does make any sense or ditch it?

Better, but I remain dubious about the positioning of the aft Dardo. If you read my previous commentary, you'd notice that I suggested you swapping the original positions of your Dardo and the Selenia chaff/flare launcher (Yes, it is the Selenia box, so I'll keep referring to it as such...)
There's actually no need to split up the SRBOCs the way you have done. The original positioning of both on the upper bridge wing was perfectly logical and fine.
I suspect, maybe, sometimes you're overthinking your designs, resulting in much more complex layouts than is necessary.
You are nearing a what could be considered a 'real-life' design; i. e. something that could've been built at that particular period, so keep the good work going!

So the aft Dardo needs to be just behind the mack. Considering weight destribution, can I use the GMLS Mk10 mod 7 with 80 missiles? My ship is about 22 m longer than the Andrea Doria, 2.5 m wider and has heavier machinery ( 600 psi boilers instead of 1200 psi).
Also my Kimon will have the Mk10 aft (40 missiles), like the US Coontz but with Mk29 at the bow. Is this plausible?

Alternatively. Move the boat crane forward of its current position and bring the Dardo down to main deck level.
I also am dubious about that SSM placement, why does it really need to be so high?

Missile Boats of RHN

I have these in my computer for ages and I decide to post them.

Although the Royal Hellenic Navy has guided missile cruisers and destroyers, plus several frigates, its main fire power is the missile boats. RHN was the first nation in the West to introduce missile boats with small to medium range missiles (HSY-44) and the first export customer of Exocet MM-38 missile, back in 1972.

The Combattante VI-H is actually a corvette, but is classified as a FAC for two reasons : first is of course political and the second is that she belongs to Fast Patrol Boats Command. Powered by twin MTU/TAG diesel and one Aerodyne MT-16 gas turbine totaling 34.000hp, the 880tn vessel can exceed 40kn top speed using a semi-planing hull designed under Hellenic Shipyards and CMN. To reduce infrared signature, turbine exhaust splits in two side ones lower in hull into the water spray. Aviation facilities are for one A-109H of an HC-270A. Six units built in late 2000's.

The Combattante V was built in early to mid 2000's and was the first new missile boat of RHN after 20 years. With reduced radar signature and 42kn sprint speed replaced some of the tired HSY-44 vessels. As the larger Combattante VI, she carries a RHIB and a unit of Island Defense Force Special Forces.

Finally, the HSY-54 Arion Mk1 is the newer missile boat of RHN, built in early 2010's. Last of 8 vessels entered service a few months before. Superstructure has relationship with CMN missile boats, while hull is completely new design specifically for Aegean Sea. Top speed is not revealed, but is between that of HSY-44 and previous two class.

Also there are in service 10 older modernized Combattante III and some Klasse 145 missile boats originally built in 1970's. These are armed with Adis IIA/B and Penguin II missiles. The Klasse 145 belongs to Coastal Defense Command.

Re: the Militiades. You realized what I was aiming at! Now it looks pretty much done! It's a nice, good-looking vessel!
As for the Kimon-class, you realize, that a few parts on it are outdated, such as the motor personnel boat. I'd much rather replace that ugly generic thingy with the proper one (I believe the 31-footer) from the U.S. parts sheet.
And - does that CIWS (I don't know its name!) atop the forward section of the hangar, need to be that high up? I'd lower it, at least a deck level! Approximately how the Aussie "Perths" had it arranged.
And, please (I know it's not necessary!) - show us the underwater hulls, please!

Underwater hull does not differs much from Andrea Doria and Coontz, but the bow mounted sonar SQQ-23 (later Raytheon 1191). I always left auxiliary boats last to update and this will be next edit, both with rest changes.

Miltiades was one of my first designs ever made from the bucket, I have changed it many times and I am glad to see her ready at last.

However I did not received answer for the chaff launchers in Kimon.
