I've started to rework my cruisers. I have never been enterliy happy with the Svärdet (renamed Niord). A first remake of the Springsharp report. She is slightly larger and laid down a few years later. I imagine her q bit similar to a Slava/Koskva class cruiser, instead o the previous "Ticonderoga style)

steam powered? because if so, where do the turbines go? (under the aft gun won't fit, so it would be under the hangar or in the quite short space between the 150mm gun and the VLS)

btw, your shading suggests tumblehome or an torpedo bulge, both of which seem to be not that common at the time?

if you have VLS, why would you use armoured box launchers? the spruance class was rebuild with VLS primarely to be able to launch more tomahawks from the same ship, so you could certainly gain a lot by doing so.

CODAG - engines under the funnel and VLS, the missiles reach to the waterline

She has a quite ordinary hull, I think I look at a Tico for shading

(I looks cool, I wanted the Slava look ;-)) The navy wants to use the VLS for SAMs, ABL are use for maximizing the arnament and a large number have been bought for the Mannerheim REMO

The fully automatic Bofors mk2 57mm was first used on IRL HSwMS Stockholm in 1984, this ship is laid down around 1986-88
