Couldn't help myself.

Re-done as a DDG. With other variants (On same hull), to be a DDH and another DDG for SM-1ER.

An SM-1 ER you can not fit on a Mk-13, but you can fit an SM-2 MR Block 3. It just fits into the reload drum below decks. The Block 4 for is too long, and is meant only for the Mk-41 VLS. Approximate ranges are 35nm for the Block 3, 50nm for the Block 4, versus ~20 nm for the SM1MR (using the Harpoon data base as a reference). I believe the Australians have upgraded their OHP's to handle the SM-2's, in addition to adding a Mk-41 for the ESSM.

As for the SM1ER versus the SM2ER (within the RIM-67 series), IIRC both can operate off the Mk-10 launcher. The Coontz class DDG's however were not converted to the SM2ER's, could be either the age of the ships or speculating not enough room for the slightly longer SM2ER.

There is also a version of the ESSM that will fit in the Mk-29 Sea Sparrow (as in RIM-7), but has slightly less range than the VLS version.

What radar system is going to track and guide the Standard SAM? I don't see either a SPS-50 or SPS-48 or equivalent 3D-system. I know that the Canadian Tribals are reliant on other allied vessels, such as US Aegis-destroyers/-cruisers or NATO units with the same capabilities or even the carriers themselves to provide over-the-horizon guidance. What will your destroyers do? Do you have sufficiently advanced and well-equipped allies too?

Tribals use the SPG-60 for missile guidance with the SPS-49 being detection. Much like the Perry's, escept with the 60 and not the whole Mk.92. SM-1 doesn't need a 3d air search radar.
