i'll fix those problems on "finnmarken" eventually. but i doesn't have that much time on me just now, because I have just signed a contract to design on or more ships-Concept for a company!

But my "to do" list on shipbucket is from now all ship in "Hurtigruten (coastal shipping)". ship list:

I don't know if it's the right approach but I personally don't like it ;)
I can draw the railing in the usual way. but we on shipbucket should get boats we are drawing(s) as real as possible. so if there is someone who has a better color, or any better idea for these glass railings so...

for the stern I get it, but the railing is still wrong.
for the windowed part of the railing: there is no standard for those, but I think you could better use something else then the window colour for them. maybe an ligthblue/white colour is better for it..... pm an mod or admin for it. btw, you have made some mistakes in the stern and the part below the funnel: you have placed some windows on places where there are none. also, the lifeboats should be placed a lot higher (almost one deck higher, to be precise) and I miss all the lights that are placed on the promenade deck. I also miss a lot of satcoms on your drawing. also, the firefighting equip and liferafts are all missing.

so lets say for this ship: a good start, but a whole lot still has to be done.

EDIT: on your last post: those people will be a lot happier if these ships have a higher level of perfection, and you certainly have talent, so you can come far on sb. BUT you still have to work and learn a lot before you belong to the masters

(and whyme, for you counts the same, so stop making the same comments to experienced members as to newbies.... helping newbies is ok, but consider yourself one too...... on most points I still have to learn a lot, and I am over here for a WAY longer time then you!)

contact an admin, but you will have to show what is behind those railings, as you can see this in real life. and there is the problem: there is no real standard for it, as merchant ships are relatively new to sb, and if you can figure out how it could work you could set an standard for the future.

half the bow is wrong. well... most details are. anchor missing, windows where they can't be placed...
btw, how have you been approached by the people who wanted you to draw all those ships? had you send it to them or something? and do you get paid ???????

take the details when I get an opening in the calendar.

When doing a degree in Yacht & Boat design you will often send out an open CV to the different design offices both at home and internationally (To say hello, i'm here!), that company that choose you will sometimes (or often (if they see that you have a talent)) give you half or full pay during the education/training. the backside is that you must work for them a few years before you are allowed to go anywhere else. And the company will test you by giving you a project together with the school, where you will develop a new concept for them or others. I've been through four, and to say it like this: you're working 24 hours each day to reach the deadline, which often are extra short. Just to stress you.

Get paid! ohh yes :D Money, money, money come to daddy

updated :D

To certain that there is something behind the glass railing, I have used color: RGB 0,82.204. The color I used on the glass railings are: RGB 70,145,255  if there are some who object to the color choice, then you have to come with a color choice I shuld rather have used. I'll change to it. ;)

better. but now you have to make the edge of all railings grey instead of brown. I know this is not like reality, but the sb standard dictates it.
