In 1938 two cargo ships were built for the KNSM (Royal Dutch Steamship Company). These two 3,168 tons ships were built for the company's West-Indies service, survived WW2 and in 1950 were rebuilt as passengers-cargo ships, and renamed Oranjestad and Willemstad.
As built they were named Pericles and Socrates. So here she is as built.

Since I've done a TESS58 bulk carrier I've decided to do its smaller relative, the TESS52 too. So this is Intrepid. Built in 2005. She's opperated by Orion Bulkers. Port of Registry is Valletta, Malta.

John T. Lunn formed a company, known as Dene Steam Shipping. In 1901 the SS Willowdene was built at the Middlesbrough yard of Robert Craggs & Sons.

In 1904, with the Japanese built-up, because the tension with Russia, the Nippon Yusen Kaisha bought the SS Willowdene, and renamed her SS Colombo Maru. The ship was used as a collier during the Russo-Japanese war and continued to be used as a collier until her loss by fire near the Goto Islands
