Not a bad start!

Don't forget to update the ASROC.

A very nice start. BTW you wrote that it's Charles F. Adams ASW conversion, and in fact as rightly stated in the drawing itself it's an ASW conversion of Forrest Sherman class. I hope you'll make the DDG conversion as well.
A last comment is that you used the wrong Mk.32 torpedo tubes (just in front of the bridge). There is a better one in the parts sheet.

The class mistake was a brain fart (corrected)
The ship was started before the corrected Mk32's and will be corrected.

Now please excuse me while i go into a corner to kick myself. (Charles F. Adams? Sheee!)

I would recommend starting from scratch on this ship. MConrads' work is fine, but it's also getting up there in years. I have a block of solid references and a half-done unrefitted Forrest Sherman from which you could start, if you'd like.

If you want to start from scratch, then there is the book about U.S destroyers by Norman Freidman. There is a good line drawing of the Forrest Sherman including the mod.

That's what my drawing is based upon, as one might well imagine. God bless you, Mr. Baker.

That would be great! I have a picture when the ship was in Italy but detailed shots would be nice. The wife and I were talking about going back to D.C. one November but got bogged down in family affairs.
Just a side note: I was part of the crew that decomm her. I was pleased when she was selected as a display ship for the Navy Yard in D.C. When I retired from the USN I was Bethesda, I had my retirement cermony on her. I still cheer when I see her occasonally appear on NCIS. :D
