Replying to page 2... Caroline's the only ship still around that fought in the Battle of Jutland. Amazing how you can draw the ships but don't know their history, eh? [I'm the exact opposite, so that's not an insult]

Superb I particulary like the Colombo in her wartime 'modernisation'. Will we see more of the C's and D's? I have some scans I can post if you're interested (though you've probably got them)

Oh I knew she was at Jutland and in fact also knew she was around in 2000, but I wasn't sure she is still around now, that is 2010. In fact as she appeare in 2000 is on the way (will take some time though).

As promised, it took some time, but finally here is the last survivorof the Battle of Jutland,
HMS Carolone as in the year 2000.

I hope that someday - sooner rather than later - she's restored to her former glory and made a museum ship.

Caroline is due to be put out of 'action' this year. The plan is to keep it as a museum ship. Restoration is in discussion, but in discussion only, no plans to actually do that. The ship will be held 'in commission' with the Royal Navy until a satisfactury future has been established.
