Hmm, I am not sure - this effort kind of wore me out of drawing ships for a little while. ;) I had started on the USS North Carolina but just lost steam. I had planned on some sort of Iowa style refit but I don't know when I will get to it. When you "return" with enthusiasm, you might want to consi...

I hope to add some traditional 4.5in Mk.VI armed Super Darings later on. I've always been interested in these vessels, and although the details are sketchy and what we draw is best guesses I like to think that these are not far off the mark. Awesome designs these certainly would have been, perhaps ...

So much damned head-slapping. For their entire design history, from 1946ish through cancellation, the gun outfit of CVA-58 was 5/54 Mark 42 and 3/70 (not 3/50!!!) Mk 37. Really? I have tons of Royal Naval carrier and ship pictures in the Pacific and med mostly, and a few in atlantic. Most of the Royal Navy was absent from the Pacific after the fall of Singapore, but individual ships did make routine calls to Australia and occasionally, New Zealand. Most of your pho...

Really? I have tons of Royal Naval carrier and ship pictures in the Pacific and med mostly, and a few in atlantic. The British, after to collapse of Singapore, invasion of Burma, and the Ceylon Raid by IJN carriers, retained a small force of ships based at then 'secret' base, Diego Garcia. This Eas...

Very good rendition, for given shortages of the 3.9" (100mm) Type 98 twin mounts, in large part due to demand for them on the "Akizuki" class fleet destroyers [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akizuki-class_destroyer_(1942)] intended to escort carriers & battleships, its a likely outcome in at least the...
